Works well if your vents can handle it

I was looking for a way to mount my Garmin so it was within easy reach and this device works perfectly. It will put a bit of strain on your AC vents so buyer beware, if they are flimsy they could snap particularily if you push or pull the unit while mounted. The vents in my Infiniti are of quite a sturdy plastic build and they work fine with no risk of breakage. If you've got the vents for it it'll work as advertised. Otherwise you may have an inadvertent vent repair.

A clever and useful accessory

This vent mount is very useful, provided that your car has a suitable vent- this means the vent must be located suitably to accommodate the GPS unit, and the slats on the vent must be horizontal.

I found the mount was very easy to use with my Nuvi 760. It was easy to attach to and detach from the vent. Also, it was straightforward to attach the GPS unit. There is an adjustable leg on the mount which helps to secure the mount to the vent in a stable fashion.

Some people may prefer this mount to the windshield suction cup mount.

Also, this mount is useful in places where windshield mounts are not permitted (e.g. California).

I used the mount with various rental cars while touring- it was equally successful in each car (the cars I used it in were 2008 Chrysler Sebring, 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer, 2008 Jeep Liberty and 2007 Toyota Solara).

It was sufficiently stable to allow for the GPS unit to be used while attached to the vent.

Works fine, better than the suction cup mount that comes with your Nuvi.

Way cheaper on Amazon than on Ebay...I wanted a mount that would be inexpensive and not attract attention like the windshield suction cup holder. I also didn't like the look of the dashboard beanbag mount because it looks like crap. The vent mount is inexpensive and my field of vision isn't impaired like it was with the windshield suction cup. Plus it is now a ergonomically closer for me to use the touchscreen with than before. It won't fall off periodically like the suction cup mount as well.

nuvi GPS mount
Nifty GPS mount. It places my nuvi in a much more convenient location out of the windshield and out of line of vision. Great idea.

Don't Buy
This item will not stay in the H/C vents. Just pops out. Will not work in a 2008 Jeep Patriot or 2011 Hyundai Elantra.

GPS Vent support
Not very stable. My friend has a different one that came with his Tom Tom and it is much better. It flexes too much when the screen is touched.

GPS Vent Mount
Great way to mount your GPS. It is very sturdy and stable and keeps the GPS off the windshield or dash.

Great little product
I have only had this a day, but so far so good! I was initially a little worried because the item was smaller and lighter than I had anticipated so I was afraid it would not work...

This is a very cool GPS mount
I was looking for a GPS mount that wasn't a suction cup on the windshield - which is an advertisement for a thief to break into your car.

Nuvi Vent Mount
Arrived quickly and works great in my 2006 Honda Accord with my 1390T Nuvi. I was using a friction mount which sometimes slipped. This doesn't.

Cheap, but still working
I got one of these and an i.Trek IG-A103 when I got my Garmin Nuvi 2460. The i.Trek seems to have a better holding mechanism which uses springs. However, the arms of the i.
